A Little Birdie Told Us........

We understand the anxiety and concerns that come with a loved one receiving care,

Thats why at Sarnia Carers, we have invested in the Birdie Care Technology, which not only ensures that we have a secure place to collate all necessary care information for our clients and staff, it also offers the option for family to have the app and to check on their loved ones in real time and retrospectively. You can keep up to date on which carer has visited, when they arrive and leave, the care that your loved one receives, their mood, food and fluid intake, activities and outings, and much more. Our carers are trained to leave comprehensive care records and observations and will always leave a written summary on the visit as an overview of the client's general health and wellbeing.

Whether you are on island, or living across the globe, you can use the Birdie app for peace of mind that your loved ones are well cared for at any time of day. 

 

Who is birdie?

Back in 2017, the birdie founders came together with the mission to help older adults age confidently in their own homes. Since then, the B

irdie team has grown to over 100 passionate experts, all focused on delivering best-in-class software to a growing community of care partners just like us!

 

What is birdie?

Birdie equips us with the essential digital tools we need to manage, grow and succeed in delivering outstanding care. Alongside a host of practical resources and support for the care industry, Birdie provides software which is used by care businesses of all sizes for care management, rotering, financing and more.

What does that mean for me and my loved one?

Now that we’re partnering with Birdie, we are able to easily manage and record all our visits to your loved one, maintain an up-to-date summary of their needs, and ensure there is a clear log of their care for any healthcare professionals who may need it.

In addition, there is a Birdie family app – so you can easily keep up-to-date with their care at the tap of a button. Because families often have such a huge part to play in their loved ones’ wellbeing and deserve to know what’s happening, the family app will allow you to see in real time:

Which medications have been administered – including ones that may have been refused or not taken, along with the reason why.

Care notes from visits that help you to understand a better picture of what’s happening day-to-day.

A broader overview of your loved one’s wellbeing over time, so you can track any changes and stay on top of any concerns.

To access the family app, your loved one’s Care Manager will need to add you to their care circle – you will be asked for your email address and telephone number which will then link you to the Birdie system. Once your loved ones care assesment has been entered into the system, you will then be sent a message asking you to download the app, with simple instructions to get you up and running.

 

Finally, Birdie are fully compliant with the General Data Protection Regulations and Data Protection Act 2018, which ensures that all your personal information is protected, handled, and stored correctly – so you can rest assured all personal information is safe.
