Empowering our Team Through Training and Dedication

Updated: 2025-04-11 14:34:37

At Sarnia Carers CI Ltd, we believe that exceptional care begins with an exceptional team. This week, we were thrilled to host a Moving and Handling Training session led by the amazing Dave Welbourne from St John’s Ambulance and Rescue Service, held at the beautiful Les Cotils.

The session was part of our ongoing commitment to professional development and ensuring our team is equipped to provide the highest standard of client-centred care. It was a fantastic day filled with hands-on learning, insightful discussions, and plenty of laughter. Our carers left the session feeling confident, empowered, and excited to put their new skills into practice.

Our incredible team, dedicated to delivering exceptional care with love, energy, and passion.

The Heart of Sarnia Carers:

These incredible carers devote their time, love, and energy to what they do. For them, this isn’t just a job—it’s a way of life. The care and dedication that happens behind the scenes, long after the carer has clocked out, often go unseen but are certainly not unnoticed. These super heroes don’t just forget about their clients when they go home—they are always thinking of ways to help, always planning and colaborating, they are always ON, and then they go on to care for their families, their friends, and their communities. Caring is at the very core of who they are. You don’t stop caring just because you clock off.

This unwavering commitment is what truly sets us apart from other care providers on the island. At Sarnia Carers, we don’t just care for the clients we serve; we care for one another as a family. Together, we create a supportive and compassionate environment that allows us to deliver the highest standard of care while ensuring our team feels valued and empowered. It’s this shared bond and dedication that make all the difference.

Recognising Excellence: Dave Welbourne:

We’d like to express our heartfelt thanks to Dave Welbourne, who brought his wealth of experience and engaging teaching style to the session. Dave is well-known for his outstanding contributions to St John’s Ambulance and Rescue Service and has even been recognised by King Charles for his dedication and service. His ability to combine professionalism with humour created a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere, where our team felt comfortable and inspired to learn.

Dave, as you know, you’ve not seen the last of us yet—we hope you don’t get sick of us anytime soon! Thank you for your kindness, professionalism, and unwavering support. We look forward to working with you again very soon!
